That totally rocked. Thanks man.
Whoa...
Someone needs to tell Vinnie to quit holding back...
Thanks a lot, Dr F. It would be pretty cool to see the Tony footage as well.

Now, after watching that, [AWA those 2 Dennis 'Bollenbach' vids]...
- [Now b4 any Jazz-Gnatzi's get a hold of me , I DO realize DC is powerhousing some really busy, hybrid, OTT jazz-spotted-with-fusion-swing on there, but still...WTHeck! Amazing player. Powerful.]
So anyways, back to the Scotland clip, afterwards, I had to go to the store & buy some new undergarments.
& I also finally watched the Virg/SS-Gypsy Jam clip. My doctor says the jaw being pinned back in place will heal up just fine...my doc, Dr. F. Stein, also says there's no prescription for Virg's lack of groove on there...except more cowbell [in the mix.] /;cP
Those undergarments are getting to be quite the expensive endeavor. Solution: Stay away from those asp-ripping VC/DW/Virg/Chambs clips. Or buy generic.
I jest.
No, I can't seem to be able to do that. I'll just have to live w it. And new generic broxers. & no chewing-gum 4 awhile. I've ALWAYS stayed away from "bubble-gum" tho, thx.
I know you are all just chortling with me on the inside.

I think I remember an interview with Vinnie where he said he wasn't particularly happy with this performance
Does this ring any bels with anyone?
It's OK, Vinnie.
I thought it was a darn fine 'fake-job' if i do say so myself...
Except for the fact that he didn't play any jazz [*Aw sh--!*] *Bless me*... j/k

Ah the old '94 zildjian day heh?
Ive got this video actaully, and from reading what was said above about quality it sounds like it must be the euro version, as the quality is poor. I love the tony clip though, starts with a rim click and exploads from there. That, the trilok gurtu and THE STEVE GADD are the best bits for me. Zildjian should release them, or at least put them up on the site for download.
Yeah Sweep, I was there....he was late and seemed agitated. He dropped a stick during his solo, and then proceeded to vent his anger on the entire kit. Afterwards, while chain-smoking and pacing up and down the stage, he APOLOGISED for his solo, saying something like "it worked on the pad backstage"...

Maybe that it's there that Vinnie did over warm up on the pad...
How do you warm up before a performance ?
VC : Nowadays I shake my hands out a little bit, maybe do some real relaxed singles, medium speed singles, full stroke singles, some doubles, and a couple of flams. I just do a few different kinds of strokes to get my arms and wrists loose. I?ll stretch my calves and ankles and do some heel toe stuff. Sometimes I just sit down and hit it and try to operate from the perspective of relaxation and let it go from there, warm up as I go without necessarily hitting the ceiling. But that?s about it. I?ve made the mistake of over warming up before and blowing my chops out. I don?t want to do that anymore.
